Limo Service in Unionville

The historic village, Main Street and the streets around Toogood Pond — the loveliest part of Markham and the hardest place in York Region to put a car.

Unionville is a preserved nineteenth-century village inside a modern city, and that combination creates the single most awkward vehicle situation in York Region. Main Street is narrow, lined with heritage buildings that sit right against the sidewalk, and parked solid on both sides for most of the day. There is no shoulder and nowhere sensible for a full-size SUV to stand while a party of four comes out of a restaurant. On event days it is worse — the street closes outright for the summer festivals, and on any fine weekend the traffic around the Millennium Bandstand, Toogood Pond and the Main Street restaurants moves at walking pace. None of that stops the work; it just means the pickup point gets agreed at booking rather than discovered on the night. Carlton Road, Fred Varley Drive, the lots behind the shops and anywhere with an actual driveway all work. So does the Unionville GO end, which sits over toward the Downtown Markham development rather than in the old village and is a useful unambiguous meeting point. Beyond Main Street, Unionville is comfortable residential ground with straightforward access, and it produces a particular mix of bookings: airport runs from family homes, dinner and theatre evenings, wedding photo stops that need building into a schedule properly, and corporate pickups from the executives who live here and work five minutes away on Highway 7.

Frequently asked questions

Is Richmond Hill or Thornhill charged differently from Markham?

Trips are quoted on the actual itinerary rather than on a zone map, so what changes the number is the distance, the hour and the route — not which municipal boundary your house sits inside. In practice a Thornhill pickup heading to Pearson is a shorter job than one from east Markham, and a north Richmond Hill pickup is a longer one. You get the number before the car is booked.

I am in Stouffville. Is that too far out?

No. Whitchurch-Stouffville is part of the regular service area, and the main difference is arithmetic rather than willingness. It is further from both the 407 and the 404, so a Pearson door time from Stouffville is meaningfully earlier than the same flight from Unionville. Give the flight number when you book and the door time is worked back from the counter rather than guessed from a map.
